Arranged in six groups: I. Vocal scores (5). II. Vocal parts (10). III. Chorus parts (16). IV. Promptbooks (7 in 11 vols.).V. Dialogue parts (90). VI. Lyrics (2). Vocal scores include three copies in German by Spina (Wien, 1876?, pl. no. F.S. 24229); one in English for "The naval cadets" by Cramer (London, 1880?, pl. no. J.B.C. & Co. 8174) in an English adaptation by H.B. Farnie; and one score in German (s.l., s.n., n.d.) which includes bound-in pages of manuscript music with English text. The vocal parts and chorus parts are manuscript, in German. Six of the chorus parts carry the date Aug. 18, 1882. The promptbooks are in English and include four typescript books, two of which carry the date 1887, two manuscript books in three volumes each, and one incomplete manuscript book. The dialogue parts include 32 parts in German manuscript, one set of English manuscript parts as well as three miscellaneous parts and four sets of typescript English parts. The English parts carry the title "Royal middy." The lyrics include one published book by Chas. Magnus, New York, in German, and one incomplete manuscript set of lyrics in English.
